Vukonic ,,Turisam ususret buducnosti" Form many years the academics dealing with theory of tourism have been discussing the role of the science in explaining basic problems of modern tourism. It is said, that understanding mechanisms and rules organising tourism is very important. Anatysis of literature on tourism proves that there are hardly any materials conceiving the area in a complex way and aiming in summing up the results of research on tourism. Author is trying to review and evaluate different theories concerning the development of tourism and the theories explaining the essence of Phenomenon of the 20th century.
