Education for the Tourism Industry in the Matopolska Region This paper presents the education for the tourist industry in the Malopol-ska Region in the aspekt of the whole of education for this sector of business. Analysis concerns both levels of education — secondary (colleges and technical schools) and the academic level. The research shows that in the scale of one region only (covering 8 voivodships) the number of graduates is much higher than needs of the industry. In the year 1995/96 there were 35 schols providing education on all different levels to about 4000 students, and about 900 students graduated that year.
