Barriers of Development of Tourism in Cracow Hie factors influencing development of tourism in Cracow and the barriers which make this process difficult have been discussed. The exceptional tourist values of Cracow related to its history and architecture, high demand for tourist services and still low level of their filfilment, development of new market-oriented forms of management and administration of tourist base and changes in the mentality of inhabitants have been recoginized as the most important factors stimulating development of tourism. The barriers hindering development of tourism have been divided into two main groups: natural and anthropogenic. The ecological and spatial obstacles belong to the most important natural disadvantages while social, capital and legal are among the most common civilizing barriers.
