Tourist Values of Cracow (Monuments, Condition, Accessibility, Intellectual and Emotional Values)
Cracow has been recognized as an international tourist centre due to its sightseeing values of high quality. Architecture and construction monuments represent the most important ones because of their quantity and quality. Nine hundred and ninety eighi most valuable old buildings, out of 6380 preserved ones, have been registred on a monuments list. They were submitted to my analysis. It defined the stylo of preserved buildings (table 3, figJ), their ownership structure (table 4, Gg.4) and their present function (table 5, Gg.4). It also described their spatial structure (tabie 2, fig. 1) and evaluated the condition of information plates placed on the examined buildings. During the listing the attempt was made to specify the cognitive and emotional values of the analysed buildings as well as their authenticity (table 6, 7, 8). To achieve this purpose Ukert's scale of social sciences was applied.
The analysis of tourist values of Cracow was conducted on the basis of a specially prepared questionnaire. The obtained information served for setting up a computer database.
