HIV/AIDS and Tourism This article presents different problems connected with HIV infection and AIDS disease. The biology and pathogenesis of HIV as well as the epidemiology of the illness have been shortly presented against the background of comparison with the history of spreading of the other contagious diseases. The author has described the ways of getting infected and the ways of behaviour which are especially dangerous for spreading of the disease as well as the methods of destroying the virus in the habitat, the methods of preventing the infection and the laboratory diagnostic tests detecting the seropositive people. All the HIV/AIDS aspects mentioned above have been discussed in relation to the problems connected with organizing tourism and tourists' health protection.
