The Role of Territorial Self-government in Stimulating the Function of Tourist Area The aim of this paper is to present the role of the territorial self-government in stimulating the function of tourism. The contents has been divided into three parts. In the first one the genesis of the self-government has been presented. The next one deals with the interpretation of the definition of tourism in the aspect of forming the tourist area. The last one describes the duties of a commune with particular consideration of the tourist administration and the conditions of activizing the tourist area after introducing the Act of Territorial Self-Government. children.
