Psychology Syllabus and the Way of Its Realization in the Department of
Tourism and Recreation, The Academy of Physical Education, Cracow,
Apprehended and Evaluated by the Students
This paper presents the results of the inquiry made among the first year students of Tourism and Recreation Department at the Academy of Physical Education, Cracow. The inquiry referred to the psychology syllabus, ways of teaching it and usefulness of the knowledge obtained in the course of studying psychology. The students suggested some changes in the syllabus and some modifications in the ways of carrying on the lectures and classes. The authors recognized some of them acceptable on condition of increasing the length of lecture time (from the present 60 to 90 lessons). Almost all the inquired students admitted they would be able to make use of the psychological knowledge obtained during the studies both in their professional work and in other kinds of activities (family life, widely understood interpersonal relations and solving their own problems).
