Problems of Multifunctional Development of a Village Pilgrimage Tourism at Kalwaria Paclawska The multifunctional village development demands searching for the ways out of the present state of economic regress of the village surroundings. One of the possible forms of village development is the eagerness for creating the conditions affording the possibilities for their non — agricultural development including the development of the village touristic functions. This paper presents the dilemmas connected with it. The village settlement, Kalwaria Padawska, has been taken into consideration as an example. A chance for this spot is an attempt at the development of pilgrimage tourism which occurs there. The potential formal and legal possibilities created in this field have not been fully used yet. It is, among the others, at the instance of the regional and local authorities. Making use of these possibilities is a chance for the economic non — agricultural development of the examined village.
