Influence of the Brussels Convention, 1970, about Travelling Convenant upon Legislation and Practice of the Chosen Countries
In 1970, Brussels, the Convention about travelling convenant was signed. The purpose of it was to standardize, on the international scale, the privities between the travel agencies and tourists. As the Convention was not ratified it has not been implemented, yet, in a way, it has influenced the formation of legal travelling convenant regulations.
A greater interest in the Convention has been noticed in the reception countries which dominate both among the ones signing the Convention and the ones which implement its regulations.
The provisions of the Convention have been incorporated, with some small changes, into the internal laws in Yugoslavia and Italy where they are the base for regulations of agreements between the travel agencies and customers. Yet, from the point of view of other countries including Poland, many rules of the Convention may be useful in constructing the own model of travelling convenant. However, the travelling convenant dominates as a contract similar to the work convenant.
