Kakow Tourist Function In the introduction the author shows the importance and development of tourism in the world and the need for conducting a scientific research in this respect. In this background he shows the role and place or Krakow as far as tourist traffic is concerned. There are no adequate data for recognizing the actual functions of Krakow, and the whole tourism problem is not considered here therefore the author suggests including the entire productive activity and services of the city of .Krakow which are supposed to satisfy tourist demand. Further on the paper deals with the range of tourist investments of Krakow which seem not to be internally balanced. Measuring the efficiency of tourist economy constitutes a problem too. The paper ends with some conclusions concerning the active policy programme of regional development in the city of Krakow.
