Touristic and recreational qualities of forests in the Forest Inspectorate District of Limanowa The article deals with touristic and recreational qualities of forests in the Forest Inspectorate District of Limanowa. The above mentioned district comprises the Beskid Wyspowy Range and a small part of the Gorce Range. Natural habitat of the region possesses many qualities influencing positively refreshment of one's body and mind. The surveyed area is restricted to the altitudal belt qf 400 — 1230 meters. The lack of noise sources as well as the lack of urban and industrial areas an,d the clear air in the region is conducive to increased touristic activity. Characterization of the following issues have been presented in this survey: areas of interest, the beginnings of the Forest Inspectorate District of Limanowa, forest stand, forest biotope, tourist and recreational implementation in the discussed region.
