On the track of the Galician motorcycle touring
The first owner of the motorcycle in Galicia was a merchant from Cracow. His name was Bartel. In 1895 he was seen on the motorcycle made by Hildebrandt & Wolfmüller. It is probable that he made his first excursions as well. The clubs, of Lvov were the first that organized group touring on the motorcycles. The first club was the Club of Cyclist and motorcyclists of Lvov, which was established in 1907. The second one – the Club of Cyclists and motorcyclists of Galicia was founded in 1909. In Cracow the motorcycle touring was propagated by the Club of Cyclists and Motorcyclists of Cracow, which started its activity in 1912. The motorcycle tourism in Galicia was probably organized exclusively by the dwellers of the biggest cities and the number of the motorcyclists did not exceed 200.
