Law aspects of practising tourism in protected areas
According to the regulations, practising tourism in areas protected because of such values as natural, historical, ecological etc. is restricted by the law. It refers especially to national parks where large numbers of prohibitions are in force. Moreover, due to the fact, that most severe damages in mountainous territories, which belong to national parks and wildlife sanctuaries or lie over 1000 m a.s.l., are caused by unpredictable excursionists, groups of hike trippers or skiers visiting these places are in duty bound to hire guides. Similar restrictions legislator provided for areas regarded as natural reserves or landscape parks.
In particular way principles of tourism are put in order in boarder zone. Of course practising tourism, sport or fishing may take place every day, but only in a space of time, which starts thirty minutes after the sunrise and finishes thirty minutes before the sunset, unless international regulations proclaim different solutions. However, in reference to sea areas protected considering ecological, economic or political reasons, practising tourism and water sports is permitted in accordance with Polish law regulations.
