District Trzyciąż an Alternative for Recreational Weekend

Weekend tourism, also called holiday recreation, belongs to more and more popular kinds of tourism, nowadays. Its popularity can be seen in increasing demand on short-termed rest outside the place of work and living, but not too far from these places. One of the areas, on which weekend tourism has possibilities of development, is Trzyciaz county, situated on the area of Krakowsko-Czestochowska Upland, in the northern part of Malopolskie voivodship. The biggest attraction among natural qualities is Dlubnia river valley with numerous ravines, often diversi0ed with white Jurassic rocks, nature sanctuaries: Michalowiec, Ostrysz and nature monument: ,,The Jordan Spring". Apart from natural values, the county has such cultural qualities as mansion comple in Glanow, courtyard in Tarnawa, the Norbertan monastery or the remains of early-medieval castle. The project of local management spatial plan (in tourism and recreation) provide for recreational development as a holiday rest in the form of tourism penetration and accommodation development and the infrastructure on new areas. The main form of recreation should be individual hiking, cycling and agro tourism. .
