Information Processes in the Planning of Development of a Tourist Region

The policy of town and country planning constitutes a sphere of activity whose aim is to define the objectives and means of the shaping and using of a given area. This policy as a system consists of the subsystems of standarization, planning, decision making, and enforcement. Tourism development policy, as a domain funcionally standing apart, is contained in each subsystem. Ensuring its compositeness, however, requires the elaboration and implementation of adequate for its specificity methods and control mechanism as well as the proper arrangement of the subjective system. The illustration of the development policy reveals information channels in the planning process. The following functional subsystems have been singled out:
- control norm generator,
- disposer,
- regulator,
- planner,
- observer,
- information transformer.
The analysis of the information channels combining the above functional subsystems evinces their highly complicated process while this elaboration is meant not only to illustrate the phenomenon but also to bring some information order to the policy, making and planning of tourist development.
